HTN: Delaware North, Pepsi Sign Deal
A new contract means that Buffalo-based Delaware North will exclusively sell and provide Pepsi products at over 200 venues around the country. Pepsi will now be available at airports, convention centers, vacation resorts, and at several sports arenas, not including HSBC Arena, because the Sabres just signed a long-term contract with Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Buffalo.

HTN: Delaware North Drops Aqueduct Deal
Buffalo-based Delaware-North is apparently walking away from the the redevelopment of the Aqueduct race track downstate. The company says it can no longer raise the capital for the project due to the recession and credit crunch. Delaware North had committed 370-million dollars to converting the Queens race track into a casino with the installation of video slot machines. The plan was expected to create some two-thousand jobs and draw millions of dollars to the state coffers

Delaware North Wins Downstate Contract
Buffalo-based Delaware North has won a lucrative video-gaming contract for the new Aqueduct Raceway in New York City. The company offered 370-million dollars up front to the state to secure the contract. Aqueduct Gaming LLC will develop an entertainment complex with 45-hundred video lottery terminals [[ VLT ]], along with restaurants, hotels, a conference center and retail outlets. State officials project that the video slots will to generate over eight-billion dollars over 30 years. The deal is expected to create 50 news jobs at Delaware North's downtown Buffalo headquarters and in Queens. Governor Paterson says the facility will generate 31-billion dollars for the state's education programs over the next 30 years. That means Buffalo public schools could see nearly four-and-a-half million dollars in the first year.
