HTN: FBI Says Lackawanna Case Still On Front Burner
The Lackawanna Six terrorist case has not been forgotten by FBI Director Robert Mueller. Mueller was in Buffalo Thursday receiving briefings on cases underway in the Western New York area. Jaber Elbaneh is accused of being one of the leaders and recruiters of six Lackawanna men who were put behind bars for attending Al-Qaeda training camps in 2001. Mueller says Elbaneh is in his native country of Yemen and is listed as one of the world's 24 most wanted terrorists. Yemen has refused to extradite him to the US. A five-million dollar reward is being offered for his capture.

HTN: Lancaster Hwy Head Arrested
Lancaster Highway Superintendent Richard Reese faces a charge of assault on federal agents. FBI agents showed up early Wednesay to speak with Reese at his Lancaster home, as part of an investigation into misuse of town property. The discussion allegedly turned physical, as Reese reportedly wrestled with the agents. Lancaster police officers searched his home and found two guns. Reese was taken to ECMC for evaluation.

HTN: FBI Agent Improving
An FBI agent who was apparently wounded by friendly fire last week is home from the hospital. Agent Peter Orchard was accidentally shot in the should by a fellow agent while they served a search warrant during several drug raids on Coit Street in Buffalo. The raids led to nearly three dozen arrests.

HTN: FBI Agent Recovering
An FBI agent is recovering after being wounded by friendly fire during a drug bust Thursday. Authorities say the agent was hit in the shoulder and sustained non-life threatening injuries. The FBI was helping to round up drug trafficking suspects at about 6 AM Thursday on Coit Street when the agent was shot. More than two dozen suspects were picked up in the sweep, including former local high school basketball star Damone Brown.
