Assault Report Leads to Arrest

A Marilla man has been charged with falsely reporting being assaulted by sheriff's deputies at his home. Twenty-four-year-old Joseph Craft was arrested on Aptril 4th after reports of a disturbance at his house. On the way to the station, he told deputies that other officers had assaulted him. He has now been charged with two misdemeanors.
