HTN: Stem-Cell Funding for UB, Roswell

A week after President Obama signed related legislation, New York State has announced 101-point-eight-billion dollars in funding to the University at Buffalo and Roswell Park for stem cell research. UB is set to receive five grants totaling nearly five-million dollars. Roswell stands to get 480-thousand. The grants are made possible by an eleven-year, 600-million-dollar New York State Stem Cell Science initiative that started in 2007. An initial set of grants totalling 16-point-five-million dollars was dispersed then. These grants bring the total funding up to 118-point-three-million dollars.
