HTN: Governor Proposes Gay Marriage Law

Governor David Paterson has announced the time has come in New York for marriage equality for all residents. Paterson is pushing a bill that grants same sex couples the same legal recognition afforded to partners of the opposite sex. Several Democratic state senators have stated their opposition to legalizing same-sex marriage, and there is no indication Senate Republicans will cross party lines on the issue.
