Hometown News: Teen Boy Rescued from River
A teenage boy is in stable condition after spending more than 40-minutes in the frigid waters of the Niagara River Sunday night. A passerby noticed the boy waving his paddle from the water just west of the North Grand Island Bridge. He had apparently flipped his kayak, and was pulled to safety by members of the Niagara Falls Fire Department. The teen was taken to the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center where was treated for hypothermia.
