County may Run Out of Money
Erie County Comptroller Mark Poloncarz warned he will not be able to pay the county government's bills next month or pay employees unless he or the control board can secure a 75-million-dollar short term loan by September 30th. The state appointed control board says it will handle the government's loans. Poloncarz said he hopes they can borrow the money quickly and notes it is his duty to warn the county and citizen about things like this.
