HTN: Water Bottle Bill Set for June 1

New Yorkers can soon collect a nickel for recycling a water bottle. Governor David Paterson is expanding the state's bottle bill to include bottled water in addition to soda and beer containers. Supporters say the new law will encourage recyclin; critics say that businesses will raise prices to cover the costs of processing more containers. New York State is expected to get more than one-hundred-million-dollars in unclaimed deposits. The new law goes into effect on June 1st.
